Getting Started – How Do I Become a Patient?

Step 1: New Patient Registration

You may do this in two ways:

• Virtually via the Schirmer Mental Health Telepsychiatry Patient Portal at https://24097.portal.athenahealth.com/PatientPortal (athenahealth.com)
  
  • Click the Sign up link on the Don’t have an account? section at the bottom of the page pictured below.
  • Provide your information
  • Choose best location to have your temporary passcode sent
  • Enter temporary passcode
  • Register as a new patient choosing Sarah Schirmer, APRN and main office
  • Create your account

• Or Call 502-694-0441 and leave a message for someone to call you back and register as a new patient

Step 2: Sign Up for the Schirmer Mental Health Patient Portal

Once you are registered as a new patient, sign up for the Schirmer Mental Health Patient Portal. There you will be able to do the following:

• Schedule appointments
• Check-in for your appointments
• Message your provider
• Request medication refills
• Pay your bill
• Access your health information

Step 3: Schedule a New Patient Appointment

All new patient appointments are 1-hour long.
