What types of mental health problems do you treat?
At Schirmer Mental Health, our providers specialize in the evaluation and treatment of a range of mental health concerns, including obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, eating disorders, mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). We offer both psychotherapy and medication management to support individualized, evidence-based care tailored to each person’s needs.
Dr. Laura Yeoman also has a specialized interest in working with women experiencing perinatal mental health concerns, including pregnancy-related anxiety and depression, postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, and the emotional challenges that can occur during the reproductive transition.
Do you offer in-person sessions? Can we do telehealth?
Yes. We have an in-person office available and also offer telehealth sessions for added flexibility and convenience. If possible, we prefer to meet all new patients in person for the initial appointment. This first visit helps establish a strong therapeutic relationship and allows for a more comprehensive assessment. During that time, we will also discuss your preferences, clinical needs, and scheduling considerations. Together with your provider, you will develop a treatment plan that best fits your goals and determines whether ongoing care is best supported through in-person visits, telehealth, or a combination of both.
